Pokka Sapporo's Aromax Black

A can of Pokka Sapporo Aromax Black coffee
Name: Aromax Black
Brand: Pokka Sapporo
Overall: 2/5

Pokka Sapporo is a popular food and beverage company from Japan that started selling lemon drinks in 1957. They currently sell several different black canned coffees, some of which are pretty decent. This one, however, is not so great. It's a reasonably mild coffee, but the aroma is just so off-putting that it distracts from any enjoyment to be had from this can.

Roots Aroma Black - Hot Blend

Name: Aroma Black
Brand: Roots
Overall: 2/5

This Roots coffee bills itself as being a quality coffee with a deep and clear taste.  It’s actually deeply bitter if anything, and not in a delicious bitter black coffee sort of way. To be entirely honest, the more I drank, the more disappointed I became. With their slick and attractive labeling, I thought I was in for a real black coffee treat.

Georgia's Black Emerald Mountain Blend

Brand: Georgia (The Coca-Cola Company)
Name: Black Emerald Mountain Blend
Overall: 3/5

This coffee is Georgia’s main canned coffee line and is found everywhere in Japan. Every Coca Cola vending machine carries it, numerous commercials run on TV for it, and plenty of paper advertisements can be found in public spaces showing it. The coffee itself has an unappealing scent with a typical canned coffee taste. It is of noticeably lower quality when compared to their Emblem Black version.
